29.6.08 - A Heath Spotted Orchid. Back to Whisby Nature Park today for my Daily, the same place that Steve and I visited last Thursday. It was still pretty windy, which made wildflower photography entertaining to say the least, but it stayed dry until I got home. I have just created a gallery for other shots from today, and I will add to it on subsequent visits to the Park, you can find it here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/gallery/5283916_hXRBX/1/321977522_aT4kT#321977522_aT4kT

I don't know enough about wildflowers to know how widespread these beautiful orchids are. I have seen them before, but this is one of the best specimens to date. This is only a bog standard 200mm lens, not a serious macro, so I'm really pleased with the result.

I've not had chance to look through the Dailies yet today, so now I'm going to spend a little while catching up :)
