This is a gallery for images that I hope will be a little bit different. Maybe a place to try new things, or somewhere to put photos that I feel might carry more of a message than usual. Perhaps it will be where I try to follow the spirit of my photographic heroes, like Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell or Don McCullin? Who knows? But I intend it to be a place open to criticism, and a place to learn and extend myself.
Fog Lights
This was taken from the same bridge as my earlier light streaks shot, but looking in the opposite direction. The fog was an added bonus and gives a totally different feel to the image. I took several shots at different settings, but I preferred this exposure of just over a second. The longer exposures tended to light up the fog a bit too much. I like this bridge as a viewpoint, and there is also a nice handrail with lots of places to wedge the camera securely, negating the need for a tripod (which is my preferred method).
