13.01.09 - Night Light
Another strange day today. I lost a records book that is pretty crucial to my job, and spent most of the day looking for it, to no avail. To reconstruct its contents from memory will take a lot of time and effort, and won't be 100% accurate, but that is my only option if I can't find it. If only I'd backed it up on the computer, or even made a hard copy, doh!
This shot was taken on my way home this evening. I've taken several Dailies here. The pedestrian crossing has featured at least twice, and the speed limit sign on the right is the one that had a bike on it before Christmas :) It was taken as a desperation shot, but turned out a lot better than I'd expected, still not high art though.
Talking of things that aren't high art - I've just published my first large format photo book at Blurb. Please check it out if you have time, and maybe buy a copy if you have enough cash! Seriously though, it is a very personal book, few words, just large images that mean a lot to me, and ones that I hope might lift the spirits of the viewer. It is a big book, and isn't cheap, maybe subsequent ones will be more accessible and not as ambitious. Click the link at the foot of the page for a brief preview.
