"Kelly" was my black labrador, who crammed more into her 16 years than most humans manage in a lifetime. She was very bright and completely mad at the same time. She loved going camping and climbing mountains, conning food out of strangers, and swimming underwater to retrieve stones nearly as big as her!
She climbed literally hundreds of mountains, including the highest in Britain, and she climbed them in all seasons. She was fearless on steep rock, and also very sensible on ice and snow. She was with me through good times and bad, helped to keep me sane, and above all else we had a laugh.
This gallery goes back 20 years, and all the photos were originally colour transparencies, so they are not of the highest technical quality. But hopefully the character of my "daft dog", and the wild places she enjoyed, still comes through.
I originally didn't caption the photos, but so many people have asked where they were taken that I have now rectified that.
